Validation of Design Standard

THE ASSIGNMENT
Validation of the current design standard (engineering specification) for minor pedestrian level crossings. The work comprised a thorough review of technical requirements, safety prerequisites and functional principles, and ensured the consistency and practical applicability of the standard.

VALUE DELIVERED
The project resulted in concrete recommendations for clarifications and improvements to the standard, strengthening safety and ease of implementation across Lokaltog’s network. KWJ Consulting’s independent technical perspective ensured that the standard is robust and ready for application.

MY ROLE
Responsible for the technical validation, analysis of interfaces to signalling and interlocking systems, assessment of implementability, and documentation of findings and recommendations. The role included dialogue with discipline leads, quality assurance of requirements, and contributions to the final revision process.
